Seen online was some updated information on UK house prices according to recent review data with the always informed HomeOwners Alliance.  It would seem over the past recently reviewed month of September,  prices  seems to have stabilised and there is some good news for buyers as  latest House Price information.

The latest industry Key Watch data shows there are 80% more homes for sale, than two years ago. But with borrowing costs still high, what does this mean for the UK property market? House prices have held steady while annual house price growth still edges downwards.

Market activity is subdued, say those who know…. with demand a third lower than the five year average..... and house price growth and transactions at a ten year low. Borrowing costs are the main factor.

The modest reduction in house prices is just not enough, says the HOA price watchers, to offset the higher cost of borrowing, so downward pressure on house prices is expected into next year.

They suggest it is increasingly a buyer's market with reports of 80% more homes for sale than two years ago ….and the proportion of homes for sale finding a buyer down 25%.

House prices remained stable over the past month BUT are down on average -3.3% in the past year. Land Registry and Rightmove noted a slight increase in house prices over the past month. Nationwide reported stable house prices and Halifax a slight fall in monthly house prices. The Land Registry shows a continued slowing of annual house price growth and Nationwide, Halifax and Rightmove all report a fall in annual house price growth.

House prices fluctuated over the past month .... up in some areas and down in others.  However, the annual rate of house price growth continues to slow in all areas.... and is in negative territory even down here in the South West (-1.1%)… where we at Mint of course operate!
