Consider a home improvement project for now… and add value to your home…. and then, move home wh...

Updated: May 26, 2023

So, the talking goes on in all home money mortgage circles and the corridors of power. The anxiety in and around the property market, in all areas - with mortgage interest rates ticking up of later to 6% for the average five year fixed rate mortgage - is very much setting the tone now for what seems a most challenging and uncertain Winter ahead.

Property sales in general have already begun to slow and purchasers go on pulling out of sales - having been stuck in the middle of all the confusing mortgage price level rising uncertainty, sparked off it seems by that controversial and confusing Government mini budget.

desperate and unlikely

These seemingly quite desperate circumstances and unlikely happenings, we believe, will surely prompt more people to consider perhaps a home improvement project to make life better at home …. and then reconsider the feasibility of a ‘full on’ move the other side of this turbulent Winter we are now moving into.

stabilised

Next Spring, all the financial uncertainty may have stabilised to an extent and the way forward, with regards to mortgage rates and their availability, may, just may, have become clearer.

more manageable

Certainly some basic improvement and re-organisation at home, to aid space layout and achieve modest more manageable room usage and planning, will surely offer a considerably less hazardous option than a home move for now and, of course, vital added value through any improvement project will be on hand, for when you do decide to sell and move on.

jeopardy

A carefully considered improvement project right now - it has to be said - very much avoids joining the jeopardy of the confusing, building uncertainty of the whole mortgage price rate debacle.

more appealing

The whole issue of financing a modest home project to immediately make things better and easier at home for the Winter ahead is, of course, surely more appealing. It is so, so less hazardous than pressing on with a potentially mortgage-busting home move at this time in the midst of the continuing quite alarming financial uncertainty.

realistic alternative

The financing of a good, well-planned improvement project is surely a more realistic alternative for some. It is so, so much more feasible for sure, and the relatively modest monies invested in such a project will, of course, store up added value for when the financial mortgage ‘black skies’ have eased and clarified and you can review again the potential of mortgage availability, lending rate status and the realistic potential of a more financially manageable home move!

‘added value’ potential

Of course, when doing so we, as a business, always, take into account all project management issues and pricing, as well as necessary delivery timelines and, also, of course that so vital, future ‘added value’ potential which can be achieved within any home.

pause …and improve

We are sure we can play a part in helping all homeowners decide what IS best to do, both for now and for the near future. We say pause and improve… and soon, it may hopefully be much more certain and easier to step out and successfully make that all important, more feasible and affordable home move.
