Extend Now - Move Later - an answer to the Covid 2022 effect and rising home prices?

Updated: Jun 8, 2023

We at Mint Builders - in the face of the emerging state of play with house prices right now, along with the seeming Covid-19 uncertainty looming for the Winter ahead, have carefully reviewed our work planning programming activities reference home extension and renovation project timelines for 2022.

In the face of the rising house prices, we have launched a new initiative to promote extension and renovation project planning and activity, looking ahead through the probable Covid Winter ahead and on into Spring 2022.... and beyond.

Extend Instead Now - Move Later! is - as we see it - a realistic consideration for homeowners, who are finding the current rising house prices a challenge, even though a better environment at home is really felt to be very much needed for their future going forward.

We are promoting compatible organised extension development planning for the early Spring months of 2022. We are suggesting this is is an appropriate and correct considered tactic for homeowners who are pressured by the current house prices situation.

home prices battle

The suggestion is for homeowners to consider the chance to modestly extend their property initially at this time, before tackling a home move. Doing so will effectively add vital essential value to their current home, value which will thus enable them to surely better compete, later in the longer term, in the ‘home prices’ battle which seems will continue to be very much to the fore during the up and coming year ahead…..

Mint Builders MD Simon West adds, “In the face of the continuing uncertainty of the Winter ahead reference Covid-19 and soaring current house sale prices, we at Mint Builders believe our ‘Extend Now - Move Later' initiative moving on into and through 2022 is a most valid approach.

add value

We are targeting development and planning of new project extension and renovation activity well-ahead into Spring 2022. These projects - if of the right scale and delivery - will add value to a property, which can then make a home move more possible than it might have been otherwise.

We will be pleased to help as best we can reference the right extension and renovation ideas and timelines, in order to to get that 'extra value' built into homes as needed - a realistic move perhaps to help balance out the pressures of the Covid-affected homes pricing momentum, which seems likely to go on building moderately fast on into 2022.

Mint Builders' MD Simon West and his team would be pleased to discuss the potential pressured costing implications of extension and renovation projects under cover of Covid for 2022. Please review our proposition here at

We at Mint Builders are, of course, here to help locally with all kinds of questions and ideas relating to the priority planning and organisation of your planned home extension or renovation for the later Autumn and Winter ahead both this year ….and on into and through 2022.
