Spotted online by Mint this week were some readable, informative observations from the well-promoted and active, Homeowners Club, who we have featured previously on this - we like to think - always informative blog - ....over the past couple of years or so!

eco-friendly trends

On this occasion, the always aware and informed Homeowners Club have been focusing on observations, guidance and ideas, reference eco-friendly home design trends, now coming to the fore more and more these days. Such trends are nowadays even more essential and vital to consider as yet another energy costs challenged Winter is not so far away and will surely all too soon be upon us!

For sure, over more recent times, of course, there has certainly been a very well-sharpened awareness of eco-saving, reference one’s home. This awareness is very much all about the considerable pressures we have all faced due to tough… tough ..and still tough.…  energy crisis, which we have all been battling against over the past couple of years ...or more!

As the Homeowners Club team highlight …Now that the world is becoming increasingly eco-conscious, it’s important that everyone is aware of their home’s impact has on the environment. Climate change is becoming one of the most important issues of our time, and consumers everywhere consider sustainability to be one of  THE most important factors when it comes to choosing to buy from this brand or that brand or product for the home.

key trend

They make THE key point that… “methods and materials that worked for homeowners in the past, of course, no longer help current homeowners. Eco-friendly home design is the key trend for the future!”

spread awareness

The Homeowners Club team add…. "by putting in the effort to create a green home with sustainable and eco-friendly home design, you, as a homeowner, can surely be helping future generations ....and also spreading vital awareness about looking after the environment”.

In respect of such attitudes….basic insulation is, of course, very much, both a fundamental AND today... an essential! Add the club team…. “Insulating your property properly is without a doubt, one the best things you can do to preserve energy. Heating and cooling your home contributes to around 50% of your home’s energy consumption and emissions. If your insulation is not installed properly, you could be wasting energy”.

reduce consumption

Gaps in the insulation that occur around windows, doors and ductwork allow air to leak out of your home, meaning that the energy used to heat your home is wasted. Well-fitted insulation will reduce your energy consumption and your energy bill by a margin. For extra sustainability, ensure that your insulation is made from sustainable materials, like recycled denim. Wise words for the  ‘all too close’ Winter ahead... Wouldn't you think!
