added sales value

When it comes to extending and renovating to achieve best added value space when you sell, there are of course so many numerous factors that will come into play….. and the final visual look and finish to your property is for sure - as the Real Homes experts suggest  - very much a key issue…..

best effect and atmosphere

Of course, fitting and finish can surely play their most important parts - but, so can right best decor colour choices and the overall  ‘in-home’ finish.  These are surely very much vital too in helping achieve that all important ‘best effect and atmosphere’  - vital part for helping you clinch that…best future added home sale price value!

what colour choices?

Suggest the Real Homes ‘designer’ experts -  decorating can be tricky..  knowing where to start in terms of picking colours and, also what choices best complement each other can be challenging, ….so read on to get the guidance and hopefully the inspiration too - that really can help you make the right decision for your new home space and help achieve more sales price value.

Scandi ‘look’

For those who admire the  Scandi look for the smaller living room ideas, this natural combo can certainly be the way to go. Explains Ana Coddington, lead interior designer at Archival Designs……Cream, with its soft and light tone, serves as an ideal base, creating an illusion of spaciousness and enhancing natural light……

warmth and texture

She adds that light wood adds just the right amount of warmth and texture, preventing the space from feeling flat and dull…..“When you pair cream with light wood — like birch or maple — you've got yourself a beautiful match that perfectly complements each other.”

Another key impact tactic is using the same colour in varying shades. This can create a sense of cohesion throughout your new home pace. Adds Jonathan Faccone, interior designer  “For example, this could be using shades of light blue and navy blue in a bedroom or different hues of green in a living room. Monochromatic colours create a harmonious and cohesive look, making the room feel more spacious.”  This, he says, can add visual interest…. without being too overwhelming.

soft and calming

When choosing colour combinations for each room, there are a certain key things to try to remember. “For bedrooms, I recommend using soft and calming colours like light blues, greens, or lavender to create a peaceful environment,” suggests Ricky Allen, interior designer and founder of Ever Wallpaper.

cosy and welcoming

Suggests Ricky further,  “For living rooms, you can play around with warm and inviting tones like earthy browns, rust oranges, and mustard yellows.”  These colours, he explains, will make the space feel cozy and welcoming.
