More stylish, expert home extension ‘thoughts and considerations’ to review and consider….

Summer is done and, as we head into the deeper Autumn and then Winter ahead, we at Mint Builders expect that for a while at least - due to the housing market remaining uncertainties - more home-owners may indeed be looking to plan a home project for now in order to achieve some added sales price value to help, perhaps, with a future, more feasible home move later on next year.

your considered project

So, with potential home extension ideas in mind for some stage next year, we at Mint - are very much here to help with your considered project in and around Cheltenham, Gloucestershire and The Cotswolds.

advice and ideas

But, that said, as previously highlighted on this blog, we are pleased to also suggest some inspiration and motivational home extension advice and ideas, for you and yours to ponder, compliments (as before) of those rather impressive people from the expert and informative online .

home extension ‘stories’

The ‘ mhe’ team highlights online the approach, design and construction ideas and considerations behind a number of different home project ‘stories’, all of which just might help inspire your ideas and considerations for a stylish, effective possible home extension next year at your own place!

So,  read on and take a good look too, at another of the team’s stylish, ingeniously effective project presentations. The project in question this time, for sure - as we see it -  achieves a most impressive effect and, also, compliments and sits most comfortably within all the  original aspects of the property itself.

This highlighted project will surely, in some way perhaps, encourage inspirational thoughts and ideas for any up and coming extension project you may have in mind!

The  extension project from the which we highlight here is, they say,  “all about bringing together - even ‘blurring’ - outside and indoor living”. (It was designed by ARDesign Studio contemporary architects, founded by Andy Remus). Photo credit - (Image supplied by AR Design Studio, photographer Martin Gardner).

As explained online by the team   ….This striking timber-clad extension to a substantial five-bedroom family home cleverly connects two wings of the existing house.

seamless link

The team highlight how concrete flooring flows from indoors to the outdoors patio, create a seamless link. There are also sliding glass doors “to further enhance that sense of being connected to the garden, allowing the boundaries between indoors and outdoors to blur!”.

natural light

Add the team, “The new living space enjoys plenty of natural light, via large glass doors. Inside, is an open floor plan and centred in the bright, open interior, a statement staircase, with steel wire balustrade, divides the kitchen, dining and living areas,” Much impressive food for thought here then

Ying and Yang’

Andy Remus adds how he liked the “ying and yang” of a traditional house with a  contemporary extension….. He says, “I think contrast is a positive thing both in terms of layout and aesthetic. Large, bright, open plan spaces for modern living, including kitchen diners, but with the smaller, original rooms providing a sense of sanctuary, for example on a Sunday afternoon sat in front of a log fire.”

good luck!

All good well- informed thoughts and considerations - and, of course, good luck with your extension home project for the year ahead.
