Building regulations are minimum standards for design, construction and alterations to virtually every building. Building Regulations often apply to much of the work we carry out even if planning permission is not required. Of course, Mint Builders can help guide you through the process from where these regulations apply through to the inspection process leading to approval.

Typical Example

Building Regulations

When building a new house extension, either with planning or under permitted development, building regulations and control will typically be required on such items as foundations, walls, insulation, roofing, drainage and electrical installations. There is increased compliance these days on the thermodynamics of any new building as well as the structural and safety aspects more traditionally associated with building control.  Being compliant will safeguard the value and viability of the property, ensure the construction is safe and economical, ultimately saving on expensive remedial costs if found to be non-compliant.
